You’ll design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure that automatically adjusts to demand, ensuring a smooth and reliable shopping experience for our customers at all times.

About the role:

As part of our engineering team, the DevOps Engineer will play a key role in implementing and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure integration and continuous deployment. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, ensuring automated and repeatable systems management and scalability. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing the operational excellence of the platform and its cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to the operational excellence of the platform and its Cloud infrastructure. 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Take full ownership of services, from design to implementation, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of infrastructure processes.
  • Define and optimize SLOs/SLIs for flawless performance and reliability.
  • Govern, manage, and optimize our GCP-based cloud platform, ensuring a scalable and secure cloud architecture.
  • Achieve cost savings by optimizing infrastructure costs and using cost optimization tools.
  • Respond rapidly to incidents, handling alerts and customer support escalations.
  • Design and maintain effective monitoring and alert systems.
  • Document infrastructure and processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale production Kubernetes, Helm, Docker.
  • Mastery of at least one major cloud service (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Programming or scripting skills in at least two languages (Python, Go, Ruby, or Bash).
  • Expertise in CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with observability tools in a production environment (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, GCP Monitoring).
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mind.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Ubuntu, RHEL, or Alpine.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Specific knowledge and experience of cost structures and cost optimization tools related to AWS (or similar Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • GCP certifications.
  • Solid skills in modern container storage and network architecture.
