As a Sales Development Manager at Breadstack, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by taking charge of lead generation, prospecting, and managing the entire sales cycle. Your responsibilities will extend to building an independent pipeline, creating effective sales processes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work in collaboration with the marketing team and receive support from a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate leads and drive sales. This role is crucial to our success and offers a great opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding SaaS company.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential leads aligned with target customer profiles.
  • Utilize online platforms, databases, and tools proficiently to gather contact information of key decision-makers.
  • Take ownership of building an independent pipeline through substantial individualized prospecting efforts.
  • Develop and implement personalized outreach strategies via email, social media, and other channels.
  • Craft tailored messaging that highlights the value propositions of our products/services.
  • Build and meticulously manage a database of potential leads, documenting interactions, responses, and progress.

Sales Cycle Management:

  • Assume full responsibility for the end-to-end sales process, from initial cold calls and lead qualification to deal closure and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Conduct proactive follow-ups to nurture relationships and propel leads through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to align lead generation with overall business objectives.
  • Consistently follow up to ensure prospects’ needs are addressed throughout the sales cycle.
  • Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with product specialists for qualified software demonstrations.

Team Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work in tandem with the Marketing team to convert leads into customers.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings with Marketing, Technical Solution, and Customer Success, sharing insights, updates, and contributing to the lead generation strategy refinement.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and the competitive landscape, adapting tactics as necessary.

Performance Metrics and CRM Management:

  • Meet and surpass monthly and quarterly lead generation targets, fueling the growth of the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate communications and client records within the CRM.
  • Provide timely updates, address inquiries, and handle any client concerns promptly.

Professionalism and Product Expertise:

  • Represent Breadstack with the utmost advocacy and professionalism throughout every stage of the sales process.
  • Become adept at presenting and demonstrating the value of our products and services to potential clients.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • With 5+ years of sales experience (BDR, SDR, AE), preferably in a disruptive sales environment.
  • Proven track record in lead generation or sales, emphasizing generating high-quality leads in a B2B context.
  • Experience nurturing B2B accounts and familiarity with CRM software and lead management systems.
  • Strong research skills, capable of identifying potential leads through multiple channels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging outreach messages.
  • Results-driven with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding lead generation targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and goal-oriented.
  • Adaptable, receptive to feedback, and embraces a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, either by managing an eCommerce store or via eCommerce customer success is a significant plus.
