Breadstack Platform & Support Update

Updated:  January 19, 2026

Breadstack is standardizing its platform and support model to focus on stability, performance, and scalability.

As part of this update:

  • Breadstack will no longer provide custom design or WordPress-related front-end support.

  • Our team will focus exclusively on platform stability, POS sync, checkout, and delivery workflows.

  • Design and front-end changes will be handled by agency partners.

Your current site and service remain active.

No.

Your website will:

  • Remain live

  • Continue syncing products from your POS

  • Continue supporting checkout and delivery

There is no disruption to your storefront as a result of this change.

Yes, but not through Breadstack directly.

Breadstack will no longer handle:

  • WordPress edits

  • Layout changes

  • Custom CSS or HTML

  • Branding or design updates

For these requests, we’ll connect you with a Breadstack-approved agency partner who can support front-end changes.

Supporting custom WordPress implementations has added significant complexity that impacts platform stability, support response times, and our ability to ship improvements consistently.

By standardizing our platform:

  • Sites are more stable

  • Issues are resolved faster

  • Performance improves

  • New features can be delivered more reliably

This allows us to focus on what matters most to your business: a reliable eCommerce platform that works every day.

Yes, we connect with your favourite loyalty tools like Alpine IQ, Springbig, Sticky Cards, etc.

We have an open API policy so we can connect to the tool you use if you don’t see yours listed here.

No.

If your site is currently on WordPress:

  • It can remain active as-is

  • There is no forced migration

  • There is no required action today

However, future enhancements and improvements will be delivered through Breadstack’s next-generation platform rather than WordPress.

Breadstack is rolling out a next-generation platform built on a modern, high-performance architecture.

It is designed to:

  • Improve site speed

  • Increase reliability

  • Reduce bugs and downtime

  • Simplify launches and scaling

  • Deliver better long-term SEO performance

We’ll share more details about migration options and timing as the platform becomes available.

No.

Preserving and improving SEO is a core focus of the new platform. We’ll provide clear guidance and support during any migration to ensure continuity of traffic and website rankings.

Yes.

Breadstack continues to fully support:

  • POS integrations

  • Product and inventory sync

  • Checkout

  • Delivery workflows

  • Core platform functionality

Only design and custom front-end work is changing.

If you need design or front-end changes:

  • We’ll introduce you to a trusted agency partner

  • You can choose to work with them directly

  • Breadstack remains focused on powering your eCommerce operations

Nothing.

Your site continues to operate as usual.
If you have upcoming design requests, contact support and we’ll guide you to the appropriate agency partner.

If you have questions about:

  • Platform functionality

  • Sync or checkout

  • Delivery

  • The upcoming platform improvements

Please reach out to [email protected] and our team will assist.
