About the role:
We’re looking for a talented Technical Writer to join our team and help us bring our products to life. As the voice of our brand, you’ll be responsible for creating software manuals, knowledge base articles, user interface text, and other technical content that helps our customers get the most out of our products.
You’ll work closely with our development and product teams to ensure that all content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to a wide range of audiences. Whether you’re writing a tutorial, a troubleshooting guide, or a feature overview, you’ll always be thinking about the end user and how to make their experience as smooth as possible.
We’re looking for someone with excellent English-language writing skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get into the technical details. Bonus points if you have experience in a software development environment and can write about APIs and programming concepts with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write and edit technical documents for a unified voice and consistency, with a focus on making them significant to the target audience
- Work closely with the design, product marketing, sales, development and customer success teams to craft and produce excellent technical content
- Learn continuously about our products’ evolving functionalities while creating the content
- Build and maintain customer aids, drawing on conventional documentation, multimedia elements, and other assets
- Use and update company style guides to ensure consistency across documentation
- Monitor benchmarks on the usage of released documentation, factoring these insights into an evolving content management system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Advertising, or any related field
- At least 2+ years of English-language experience in technical writing
- Familiarity with a software development environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus active listening skills
- Strong technical and instructional writing and documentation experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision, multi-tasker
- Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, problem-solver, self-motivated and independent
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with the ecommerce and digital media industry
- Strong work ethic and commitment
